Students Invited to Attend Rome Study Abroad Information Session
Students, particularly rising sophomores, have a remarkable opportunity to study in Italy this summer and earn core credits, including Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics at the U of A Rome Center. Students are invited to learn more about this program in an information session from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 10, in WCOB 343.
Retailers Address Asset Protection Challenges of Mobile POS Technology with Risk Assessment Matrix
The Retail Industry Leaders Association, in partnership with the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business and with support from Checkpoint Systems and Ernst & Young, released a study that identifies the asset protection challenges presented by emerging mobile point of sale technologies and establishes a risk assessment matrix to help retailers adapt current practices to meet future needs.
Walton Student Writes of Soaring Flagship
Walton College student and University of Arkansas Associated Student Government President Bo Renner wrote a guest column-letter to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, saying the University is ''not sinking – it's soaring.'' It is posted at the Associated Student Government website.
Walton Alumnus Doug McMillon Elected Walmart CEO
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. announced that its board of directors elected company veteran Doug McMillon, 47, to succeed Mike Duke, 63, as president and chief executive officer, effective February 1, 2014.
