How can I join Leadership Walton? We accept new applications once per year beginning in June.
The application period typically ends mid-August, depending on interest. Applications will be available here at that time. If you are interested in joining, apply as early as possible to increase your chances of being accepted. All business majors are encouraged to join. Students must have a minimum of two academic years left to complete the program; transfer students are welcome to apply.
What are the requirements of Leadership Walton?
Leadership Walton members complete a variety of components in the areas of leadership, academics and career path management. Please review the Leadership Walton Handbook for a full list of requirements.
What are the advantages of participating in Leadership Walton? A Leadership Walton participant's overall educational experience will include academic training, experiential educational experiences and professional development enhancements above and beyond that of a non-participant. Some of these value-added enhancements include:
Exclusive recruitment/networking events specifically for Leadership Walton participants and representatives of recruiting companies, including special networking time dedicated just for Leadership Walton participants in conjunction with the fall Business Career Fair.
Upon successful completion of Leadership Walton, a graduate of the program will be awarded with a certificate of completion and special recognition within the Walton College.
How can I get credit for completing a Leadership Walton requirement? Students must submit all completed components through Blackboard. Click here to learn more about Blackboard and how to submit something for credit.

I’ve switched colleges – can I still be a member of Leadership Walton? Only business majors are eligible to be members of Leadership Walton. If you have transferred out of the Walton College of Business, please contact the Leadership Walton Coordinator.
I’m behind on my Leadership Walton requirements. What should I do? While we expect all Leadership Walton members to remain active in the program, you are not required to complete a certain number of requirements each semester, as long as you have all the components completed by graduation. If you have any questions or concerns about your progress in the program, please contact the Leadership Walton Coordinator.
