The Business Career Fair Express is a blend of a traditional Career Fair and a Networking Event with a unique twist; a terrific new venue guaranteed to infuse excitement and a format designed to promote more personal networking interactions between companies and students.

We encourage all industries to attend the Business Career Fair Express including, but not limited to: Retail, Consumer Product Manufacturing, Marketing, Management, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Research, Banking, Service Industry, Food and Beverage, Communications, Hotel Management, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Trucking, Energy, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Defense Contractors, Accounting, Consulting and Government Agencies.

Leadership Walton

  • A Professional Development Program for Students - Your Organization Can Make a Difference

    Mission

    The mission of Leadership Walton is to be a unique blend of academic, leadership and career development opportunities specifically designed to guide the student toward lifelong professional success. Leadership Walton is a program offered by the Walton College Career Center in partnership with Undergraduate Programs.

    Program Objective

    The purpose of this program is to develop skills sets in the area of career, professional and leadership development, as well as to provide an understanding of the scope of the challenging professional environment and the subsequent success skills formulation and implementation needed to ensure lifelong achievement. To accomplish this goal, the program is designed to incorporate required and optional academic coursework, career development programming and leadership development opportunities blended in a defined course of progression that ensures well-rounded opportunities for student development and preparedness.

    Leadership Walton Graduates

    Leadership Walton students are recognized at graduation with a gold cord and receive a certificate of completion after finishing the program. Four seniors completed the program in spring 2008: Deborah Johnson, Adam Kinney, Stephanie Williams and Jenella Young. Another 23 students are expected to complete the program in 2009.

    Leadership Walton Veteran’s Administration Book and Magazine Drive

    Each semester the Walton College Career Center organizes a Leadership Walton community service project. In fall 2008, Leadership Walton students collected over 390 books and 350 magazines to donate to the local VA Hospital. The five students who collected the most donations were: Elise Dudley, Tahiya Nuzhat, Chelsey Bruner, Courtney Duhamel and Sawyer Burnett.

    This semester, Leadership Walton students, in conjunction with SIFE and Leadership Fayetteville, are collecting CFL light bulbs to replace energy inefficient light bulbs at Fayetteville Housing Authority properties.
