Senior: Suggested Program Requirements and Timeline
Required Components
- Academic/Leadership
- If not completed during junior year, complete at least one of the following:
- Business Minor
- FINN 4143, Portfolio Management I
- MGMT 4243, Ethics and Corporate Responsibility
- MGMT 4253, Leadership
- WCOB 3033, The African American Experience in Business
- MGMT 4993, Entrepreneurship Practicum (SAKE)
- WCOB 410V, Service Learning Practicum (SIFE)
- Attend a minimum of two WCOB or Career Center approved UA lectures (7 & 8 of 8)
- Participate in one, approved group community service volunteer project (2 of 2)
- If not completed during junior year, complete at least one of the following:
- Career Path Management
- Attend a Career Fair (3 of 3)
- Salary Negotiation (in Blackboard)
- Resume Review (3 of 3)
Bring your resume by the Career Center or email it to sayell@walton.uark.edu to have it revised. - Interview with a Company (3 of 3)
- Diversity in the Workplace (workshop or online training)
- Senior Survey - Complete this online survey your last semester
- 1 Misc. Component (select one from the right column)
Misc. Components
Students must complete at least four of the following before graduation:
- Be a Member of the Four Year Walton College Honors Program
- Complete a Type Focus Assessment with a Career Advisor
- Complete a Graduate School Admission Packet
- Complete the Job Search Strategy Plan in Blackboard
- Complete one Group Community Service Project
- Complete one Individual Community Service Project
- Participate in the Mentor/Job Shadow Program
- Participate in an Approved Study Abroad Program
- Participate in Students Day of Caring or Make a Difference Day
- Participate in the U of A Emerging Leaders Program
- Record a Podcast/CareerCast
- Serve as a WCOB Student Ambassador
- Serve as an Officer for One Year in a Student Organization
- Serve on the Walton College Dean's Student Advisory Board
- Serve One Year as an Active Member of a Business Student Organization
