Graduate Programs

Our graduate programs are designed to provide advanced economics training for those who want to pursue careers in economics, and our department specializes in international economics and development as well as Industrial Organization and Behavioral economics.

The department offers a PhD program for those seeking academic jobs or positions requiring research training in our areas of specialization.  The department also offers a terminal MA degree designed for those who want to work in areas that require technical training in economics.  The MA degree is also appropriate for those planning to pursue law degrees specializing in business law or those who need more preparation before entering other PhD programs.  Students in the PhD program can earn a MA degree while in the program.  Similarly, those who complete the MA program can be admitted to the PhD program.
