Impact of Giving
The economy has impacted everyone. Therefore, we are asking alumni and friends to consider an annual contribution for a three-year period, based on individual circumstances, to the Excellence Funds. These gifts will greatly impact our continued excellence in education.
We are seeking non-endowed private funds from alumni and friends to support the quality programs described in this brochure. Excellence funds will provide the resources to ensure that our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are all beneficiaries of an outstanding Walton experience.
We are blessed to have so many key stakeholders - employers, alumni, donors and business colleagues - who have been great friends to the Walton College and the University of Arkansas.
By contributing to the Excellence Funds, you can directly impact the innovative programs that influence the lives of students, faculty, staff and the people of Arkansas.
From her first moment on campus, Meagan Stellpflug has embraced the challenges a college environment provides. This senior management major, math minor from Pea Ridge, Arkansas, has truly put her stamp on the Sam M. Walton College of Business. Meagan is a Chancellor's Scholar, has received the Donald D. White Endowed Scholarship in Management and the Brandon Burlsworth Scholarship. She is in the Honors Program and on the Dean's List. In addition to the academic accolades, Meagan's impact on the University of Arkansas has come in the form of the incredible leadership she displays in many areas.
Meagan has served as an FYE Mentor and Orientation Leader where she welcomes and helps to shape a whole new class of Razorbacks. Meagan is also a member of Leadership Walton, and through her involvement with Leadership Walton, Meagan has focused on her own professional development and has accepted an internship with ConocoPhillips for Summer 2009. She is a Teaching Assistant in the computer competency lab providing students with much needed technical assistance and tutoring of the freshmen computer competency assessment. Meagan's term as Chief Executive Officer of the University of Arkansas chapter of Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) has recently begun and will extend through the 2009-2010 school year. Her upward mobility within SIFE is a true display of leadership development. Additionally, Meagan has served on the SIFE Competition Presentation team competing at the Regional and National levels.
Part of the fabric of a true living learning community, Meagan has made the U of A campus her home away from home serving on the Pomfret Honors Dorm Senate and as Secretary of the National Residence Hall Honorary. Her focus on her peers and her drive to be a positive role model is a testament to her love for and dedication to the University of Arkansas.
