It is the mission of AITP to provide superior leadership and education in Information Technology. AITP is dedicated to using the synergy of Information Technology  partnerships to provide education and benefits to our members and to working with the industry to assist in the overall promotion and direction of Information Technology.

  • September 3rd: Semester Kick Off Meeting

    Featured Guest Speakers:
    Renee Clay, Career Center  and
    Charlie Jeffers, The Hershey Company

    Renee Clay of the Career Center came to plug the Career Fair. Charlie Jeffers is the manager of the Wal-Mart IS team and came to speak about database technologies and gave guidance on how to succeed in business IT. Pizza and drinks were served and we held a drawing for an iPod Shuffle! We also announced the ConocoPhillips sponsorship of our chapter and the $1000 scholarship we will be awarding in November to an outstanding AITP member.

  • August 26th: Block Party Informational Booth

    At the Walton College Block Party, we launched our new conference booth with the organization's new logo, promoted our plans for the semester and signed students up for our mailing list PLUS a drawing for an iPod Shuffle.

AITP is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others.

The organization seeks to provide avenues for all members to be teachers as well as students. In addition, members can make contacts with other members in the IS field, to become more marketable in rapidly changing technological careers.

 

We will be awarding the ConocoPhillips $1000 Scholarship in November to an outstanding AITP member. The application form and instructions for the scholarship are available on our website (http://aitp.uark.edu/). Application due date is October 31st, 2009.
