July 11 - 16, 2009

During the week of July 11-16, Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) hosted the Technology Awareness Program (TAP). 

This program was designed to promote interest in the study of Information Technology and expose under-represented groups (women and minorities) in high school to the field of Information Technology and College life. 

The students were introduced to technology by way of classroom instruction. They were assigned to a team with the task of resolving a business issue with the use of Technology. 

On Wednesday, July 15, 2009 the students showed off the result of their hard work through group presentations and celebrated their achievement with a final dinner.
