Judith Anne Garretson Folse, Ph.D. |
Judith Anne Garretson Folse is the Janet I. and E. Robert Theriot Professor of Marketing in the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University (LSU). She joined the faculty at LSU in the Fall of 2000. During her tenure at LSU, she has received several teaching awards, two University-wide summer research grants and a E. J. Ourso College of Business summer research grant. In addition, she was also a coinvestigator on a research grant awarded by the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism. This grant enabled her and her colleague to study the impact of gratitude on the perceptions of Louisiana in the midst of the recovery from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Judith has multiple publications to her credit and has published in the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, and the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing. She is a member of editorial review boards for both the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Consumer Behavior. Judith places a strong emphasis on mentoring doctoral students and has coauthored several articles with current and former doctoral students at LSU.
In her spare time, Judith enjoys spending time with her husband, Joey, and their two dogs, Riley and Money. She and her husband are learning Spanish and they hope to eventually take Spanish-speaking courses abroad.
