John Ozment is co-founder and executive committee board member of the Mack-Blackwell Transportation Center at the University of Arkansas, which was sponsored by a $5.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and continues to receive approximately $750,000 in federal funding each year.  John also established the Supply Chain Management Research Center in the Sam M. Walton College of Business and remains extensively involved in their activities and programs.
 
John has published more than 100 articles and reports, many of which have appeared in top journals of his field and in the proceedings of national and international conferences.  He serves on the editorial review boards of several journals and routinely reviews articles for other journals in the fields of transportation, logistics and supply chain management.
