Steven W. Kopp is Associate Professor and coordinator of the Marketing and Logistics Ph.D. program.  After a beginning his career as an engineer for a company in the oilfield services, Steve eventually moved into the sales side of the company where he discovered his interest in advertising, sales and strategy. Steve joined the Sam M. Walton College of Business in August 1992 after earning his Ph.D. from Michigan State University.

His primary research areas include the examination of the role of intellectual property in marketing strategy, consumer decision making with respect to “end of life” products and services (e.g. funerals), and other topics related to marketing and public policy. Steve’s research has been presented before the Federal Trade Commission and the Food and Drug Administration. He currently serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing as well as the advisory board for the Villanova Center for Marketing and Public Policy research.
