Donald E. Frieson, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, currently serves as Senior Vice President of Wal-Mart Store Operations in the company's Central Division. In his position, he has responsibility for more than 700 Wal-Mart stores in 16 states, supervising 5 regions. Don joined Wal-Mart in 1999 as a District Manager for the company's private truck fleet. He has served as Regional Transportation Manager, Director of Private Fleet Administration, and Director of Private Fleet. Don was promoted to Vice President, Private Fleet in 2001. He was named Regional Vice President of Logistics in 2003. Don moved to the Store Operations division in 2004 when he was promoted to Regional Vice President, Store Operations; assuming responsibility for over 100 stores primarily in the northeast division of the United States.  Don accepted his current role as Senior Vice President, Store Operations, Central Division in 2007. Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Don was the Regional Operating Center Manager for Schneider National Carriers, Inc. where he spent 12 years developing expertise in the trucking industry. Don earned a bachelor's degree in operations management from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
