it be among the most competitive and prestigious awards
in the nation. The award is designed to encourage and
attract outstanding Arkansas students to pursue an
undergraduate education at the Sam M. Walton College of
Business at the University of Arkansas. Boyer
Fellowships will be awarded annually to an incoming
freshman who has achieved outstanding academic
performance. The recipient of the Boyer Fellowship will
receive $12,500 annually with one-half distributed in

fellowship shall be renewable for up to three additional
years provided the Boyer Fellow seeking renewal

average (cumulative) by the end of the spring semester
each year.
The fellowship money may be applied toward
registration fees and travel to educational programs and
professional conferences, a personal computer and
software, study abroad, and other expenses associated
with the pursuit of a program of academic studies at the
University's Fayetteville campus. The Boyer Fellow is
ineligible to receive the University Scholarship, the
Leadership Scholarship, or the Chancellor's Scholarship.

achievement granted to the Boyer Fellow while attending
the University of Arkansas will not reduce the amount of
